Latex for the curious 3

To ease into wearing latex, I’ve covered some easy items that look stylish and can easily be worn in public. The first was the latex blouse and the second the latex bikini. Now it gets a bit more daring, but still stylish. Nothing to worry about, it just requires a bit of confidence. A glass of wine always helps as well.

I have several latex dresses, some are more appropriate to be worn in public than others. When I go out during dates, I almost always wear them. I’ve never had any issues. Let’s start with the first dress. It was off the rack, but fit me perfectly. The pattern around the chest draws some attention, although there is no risk of anything falling out. Unlike many other latex dresses, this one does not have a zipper and is made of quite thin latex. All black, So there is no risk of anything showing.

The benefit of going with a zipper-less slip dress is that it’s easy to put on. It requires no glide lube or talcum powder to slide easily over my body. I just step in, pull it up, and slip my arms through the spaghetti straps. The only drawback, at least for my taste, is the it hangs a little lose. It doesn’t hug the curves as much as other dresses do.

I have to admit that my favorite dress is a bit more risque, but just as elegant. It was custom made and is in some areas semi-transparent. That adds a certain thrill to it. Of course, just like with any other dress, its easy to wear a jacket over it, and cover up any parts that you may not want to display in front of the world.

I’ve never, ever, had any issues wearing elegant latex dresses out for dinner. I’ve done so in New York, London, Paris, Moscow, Rome, Frankfurt, Berlin, Zurich, Thessaloniki, Vienna, and in Munich (and I’m probably forgetting a few places). There is only one trick to wearing latex dresses in public — CONFIDENCE. If you don’t feel it, don’t wear it. But if you are up for it, it’s a thrilling clothing item. Depending on who your going with, and what you’re into, it offers so many possibilities for some D/s play. I’ll go into some of them in a during a future (like, being told to use the bathroom and having to ask for directions, sounds simple enough, but leaves you in full view, while D is watching 😊).

But first the dress: This is the all-around view. Depending on the light, you can see that some of the panels are semi-transparent. Not too short, not too long, and otherwise from the front a perfectly normal short dress. It’s always a good idea to walk around a bit with the shoes you intend to wear, also sit down (very important!) to make sure there aren’t any embarrassing moments. Of course, if you are into those, then there are plenty of ways to do that as well 😉.

The interesting part is in the back! Almost a bare back, but with plenty of support so that nothing falls out in front. If you want to get attention, this dress will certainly do it. If you want to keep it modest, wear something over it. In either case, it’s probably a good idea to keep something warm with you.

I went to a restaurant recently that I had never been to before. Those are the times when it’s always a good idea to layer. Start out modest, then there is always the option to ‘shed’ the layers that cover the full splendor of the dress — and you. At the end of the day, it’s not about the dress, it’s about the way it makes you feel. Some like it, others don’t. Sometimes you’re in the mood for it, other times not so.

One important tip that may help, the more classy the restaurant, the more likely it is that you can wear an elegant latex dress without any hassle. Personally, I would never wear a dress like this one to anything but an upscale destination. There, everyone is focused on service, regardless of their personal opinion. If anything, I have gotten a lot of compliments from others, even some jealous looks, mostly from women.

Oh, and one more thing. If you happen to wear a collar the way I do most of the time, trust me, the looks will be on the dress, not the collar. So for any subs who may be a bit shy about wearing their collar to an elegant restaurant, there is an easy solution. Wear something that attracts more attention than then collar ever will 😊.
