Time to say “Thank You” to a few people

When I came to the US nearly three years ago, I would never have thought that I would be writing books in English. I spoke English reasonably well and could write without too much trouble. Putting an entire storyline together and publishing it for others to see, that was not in my future.

When I came to New York, I was fortunate enough to take some classes at Columbia (I still do) while also having a relatively decent job that allows me some flexibility. No, I’m not going to tell you where I work and what I do for a living. But it’s not writing books. Still, even though the English language is still a mystery to me, I’m finally comfortable enough to do some writing. By the way, if anyone can explain to me why in English you go ‘back and forth’, rather than ‘forth and back’, I’d be grateful. In French and German it’s the other way around, and in every other language I know, you first have to get somewhere, before you can turn around to end up where you came from…..

So I wanted to thank a few people from the writing community that I’ve gotten to know over the past months. These are in no particular order:

Posy Churchgate Loves Life

@PosyChurchgate
Posy has been guiding me to so many places, provided insights, and running an amazing blog. She’s a treasury.

Natasha Bender

@NatashaBender13

Natasha is so much fun, she has an amazing creativity and when I read a few of her books, I just had to start writing book reviews. I don’t write many reviews, but I couldn’t hold back.

Sienna Shaw

@siennashaw4

I get the biggest kick out of Sienna’s sick and twisted tweets. Sometimes, when I’m feeling down, I look at her latest tweets and just get a kick out of them. I loved ‘6 minutes before the weekend is over’.

Judy Kemp

@JudyKemp69

I try to write erotica, but when I read Judy’s work, I’m just in awe. Judy, you have a way with words that melts an iceberg. Thanks for many happy memories 🙂

Sally Bend

🍁

@bibrary

Sally introduced me to Freebie Friday. A great way to spread some weekend fun, get to read some interesting books, maybe even write a review. Sally is always to be found. It wouldn’t be the same without you!

And then there were a few people who really helped get this blog started:

@sarahnlachance @staciesbookcase @JoanaGracio @author_Dinesh @patriciaaknight @SoulSur94028770 @maverickBise @RolandBDahl1 @CecieSinclair

Whatever you like, or don’t like about this blog, you wouldn’t be seeing it without them!

Enough for now, so many more to thank, and it won’t be the last time. Please don’t take it personally if I didn’t include you this time.

No Regrets #F4Thought

My Body, My Choice #MeToo

I make no secret of the fact that I have my fetishes, am not shy about displaying my body, and have worked in the past perfectly legally in a profession that is generally considered to be part of the sex industry. That was until laws were passed to ‘protect’ sex workers by requiring their registration […]
